Are You New To Gotha? We want to welcome all of our new students. We thought you would like to know a little bit about our wonderful school. Gotha Middle School opened in August, 1994. Our school community is a blend of different nationalities. That blend makes us a unique school with a rich heritage. Besides being culturally diverse through our national origins, we are diverse in another very special way. Gotha Middle School is a "center school" for students with special needs. That means that besides our regular population, some of our students need extra or special help in order to achieve. We serve students who are gifted or have learning disabilities. We also serve students who are emotionally handicapped or are educable mentally handicapped. Additionally, students who are physically impaired, hearing impaired, trainable mentally handicapped, or profoundly mentally handicapped come to school at Gotha. No matter who you are, when you walk through our doors you are a "Gotha Grizzly." We are the grizzly bears and very proud to show our colors of teal and purple. You will get a chance to meet George, the grizzly bear, throughout the school year. He'll show up when you least expect him... Our motto at Gotha is: Together the future is ours!" We are glad to know that YOU will be part of our Gotha family. |
