GMS Reading Counts Titles Are Now On The Web

You can now access Gotha's "Reading Counts" title list for your child's lexile reading level on the web. Use this link to interactively search, sort, and find whatever book you are looking for!

The media center's goal is to support the curriculum and to promote life-long reading. Students are scheduled to visit the media center at least twice a month for book check-out. Teachers may bring their students for research and other projects as the schedule allows. The media center is open every morning at 9 a.m. for research, reading, homework and book check-out. We close at the end of the school day. In August students and teachers checked out 3447 books and other materials.

To encourage reading the media center gives books as prizes to students for guessing the “Mystery Book of the Month”. Also, students who are “Caught Reading ” during their free time by administrators, guidance councilors and other staff are given free books as prizes.
