ADDitions Gotha Middle School participates in the Orange County Public Schools' volunteer program called ADDitions. ADDitions volunteers meet the needs of students through tutoring, participating in interesting groups, preparing educational materials, and doing anything else suited to their talents and interests. Volunteers supplement the work of classroom teachers and school staff by providing an extra pair of hands to help meet students' needs. There are many opportunities to become involved in PTSA-sponsored activities at Gotha Middle School. You don't have to commit to a yearlong activity-many times, help is needed on a one-time or short-term basis. Following are some of the different areas where you can volunteer. Book fair, picture day, staff appreciation, red ribbon week, nurse fund, membership, FCAT snacks, 8th grade dance, guardian angel, reflections program, beautification, and many more! Please consider donating some of your time or talents-together we can make a difference. ADDITIONS/CHAPERONE APPLICATION(S) Our volunteers and chaperones are a valuable commodity to Gotha Middle School- we are delighted that you are considering being a volunteer with our students. The instructions below will walk you through the volunteer application process. Volunteer Application must be filled out each year in order to be able to volunteer at the school, or go on a field trip with your child. Please click here for the 2007-2008 application. It sometimes can take a few weeks to be approved, so it is advisable to take care of this as soon as possible. If you would like your name included on our e-mails listing any possible volunteer opportunities at Gotha Middle School, please e-mail Karen Bethencourt, our PTSA Vice President responsible for ADDitions at kbethencourt@mac.com. Thank you for all of your time and commitment to Gotha Middle School . It is truly appreciated. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the ADDitions Coordinator LaCretia Daly at dalyl@ocps.net or 407-521-2360 x2236.
