Student Council

In cooperation with our PTSA we are holding the election on November 7th which is election day across the United States. Students at Gotha will vote for student leaders and will have the opportunity to vote on state and local candidates seeking political office from the state of Florida. We hope this will be an opportunity to reinforce the importance of voting. We will circulate a sample ballot on Wednesday, November 1st, to be posted in your classrooms. This ballot will indicate students seeking various offices and those individuals running in state and local races.

Students interested in seeking a position on the Gotha Student Government should stop by P-40 to pick up a Declaration of Candidacy Form. This form must be returned to P-40 by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31st.

The following positions will be elected for the 2006-07 school year:

Student Council Leadership Positions (to be filled by 8th graders only):
     President
     Vice- President
     Secretary
     Treasurer   

8th Grade:
     President
     Vice- President                
     2 Senators per Team

7th Grade:
     President  
     Vice-President  
     2 Senators per Team

6th Grade:
     President
     Vice-President
     2 Senators per Team
