Library / Media Center TAKE THE SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
During the summer students are encouraged to read the new Sunshine State Young Reader's Award titles for 2008-2009 that are listed on http://myssyra.org/ .
DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR: Each student has a class that has a regular book check out time - twice a month! GMS Reading Counts Titles Are Now On The Web
The media center's goal is to support the curriculum and to promote life-long reading. Students are scheduled to visit the media center at least twice a month for book check-out. Teachers may bring their students for research and other projects as the schedule allows.

You can now access Gotha 's " Reading Counts " title list for your child's lexile reading level on the web. 
To encourage reading the media center gives books as prizes to students for guessing the “Mystery Book of the Month”. Also, students who are “Caught Reading ” during their free time by administrators, guidance councilors and other staff are given free books as prizes.
